Could be viral: Obviously a diagnosis cannot be provided based on just the three elements you provided, but one possibility that comes quickly to mind is mono. There are viral infections that can cause the signs and symptoms you describe and these would not be responsive to antibiotics. A thorough evaluation by your physician is recommended..
