My lmp was 12/11/12, could i be pregnant? if so when should i take a hpt? i took one yesterday and it was negative, was it too early?

7 days after "late": The most effective time to take a hpt is 7 days after your expected menstrual cycle. A hpt could still be falsely negative if tested too early. Wait until 1/18 and test again if you have not started. In the meantime, consider taking Folic Acid supplements just in case.
