Don't nudge him!: Elaine satter's book " how to get your kids to eat, but not too much. " helps prevent childhood obesity. Start with 1 tbsp./yr. Of age of each food on his plate. Have relaxed family meals & scheduled snacks at the table, with adults modeling good manners & food choices. Limit milk & milk products to 16-21 oz./day, juice to 4-6 oz/day, no soda or junk food. Find out his bmi at his 3-yr. Check-up.
