Dry socket: More than likely you've developed a dry socket. This happens when the clot gets disturbed after extractions. It is a rather painful infection so please return to the surgeon to have it treated.

Extraction socket: It is normal to have some bleeding in the extraction socket. Often pre existing infection in the area can cause bad taste. You must follow the post op instructions given by your dentist to insure proper healing.
