Knee Inflammation: Inflammation in or around the knee can have several different causes. Inside the knee, inflammation can be due to arthritis, meniscal tears, loose bodies, or inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis. Inflammation can also occur outside or around the joint from bursitis or tendinitis. See an orthopaedic surgeon if you are concerned.
