Sed Rate and: C-reactive protein come to mind. Non-specific, commonly indicate body reaction to infection, and sometimes tiumors especially lymphoma. These measure proteins and those in the gamma globulin class that may respond to antigen. Inflammatory cytokines can go up in response to treatment and healing as well.
