A variety of conside: There are a variety of consideration: reason include: 1. Environemental 2. Hormonal 3. Genetic 4. Immune dysregulation Therapy is decided on the type of lupus invovlement and can include corticosteroids, plaquenil, (hydroxychloroquine) cytotoxic drugs and immunosuppressive and immunomodularity therapy. You can discuss this with your physician
