Varies. : You should at least brush after eating if possible. Normally people cannot do this at lunch. At night , after finished eating / drinking all but water, you should clean teeth / gums thoroughly. Electric toothbrush is best. Flossing at this time should be done, and use of a waterpik if indicated. Using stimudents and soft pics during the day to dislodge trapped food is also a good thing.
