Absolutely: You assume that if you brush and floss, you will not develop tooth decay. Not true. If you eat healthy and exercise, will it prevent you from getting ill? Nope. It helps, but there is no guarantee. Diet and regular professional cleanings and exams also play a major role.

Good practices!: It sounds like you are a dentist's model patient! as long as you continue brushing and flossing your teeth as you are, you have little to be concerned about. Fluoride is necessary to prevent dental decay, so be sure to drink some tap water (if yours is fluoridated) or bottled water with Fluoride added. Also, a topical Fluoride rinse found at your pharmacy would be good to use daily as well!
