See an orthodontist: I would say that either orthodontics and possibly oral surgery may be needed to correct the overbite.

Orthodontics: An overbite is referring to the upper teeth sticking out to far of the lower teeth. Buck teeth can be an example. The reason for the overbite must be determined. Is the upper jaw too big, or the lower jaw too small, tooth size, habits, etc. An orthodontist can examine the mouth and determine the root of the problem. Braces can be placed to control the alignment and corrections. Invisalign, too.

What type?: Horizontal overbite (buck teeth) or vertical overbite (deep bite) are treated differently. There are many orthodontic solutions depending on your problem. Please see qualified orthodontic specialist (ask general dentist for referral) who does nothing but orthodontic treatment all day long for an initial examination (usually free) do discuss your malocclusion and possible treatment choices.
