Supportive care: CP is a simple label for a complex collection of issues. The disorder of movement & posture is oft helped by physical & occupational therapy. Yet the child may also have vision, learning, communication, behavior & other pbs.A learned primary physician or CP clinic can coordinate the many added services needed for improved outcome.

Symptom treatment: The treatment for cerebral palsy is predominantly physical and occupational therapy combined with input from specialists in physical medicine. Braces, adapted seating devices, use of medication to reduce spasticity and recently Botox injections to reduce spasticity. Special education services are a part of management.
