A member asked:

My daughter's test result, rubella lgg shows positive (>200) what does it mean ? is there anything alarming ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Igg is for long term immunity, she is immune, her vaccine has worked. I guess it's possible she was recently infected, about 4 weeks ago, and is still fighting it off but that is low probability. She is rubella immune, the titers, since i don't have a lab sheet in front of me, generally say immune over a certain threshold, so talk to her doc but if they weren't alarmed i don't think you should b.
