Perhaps there is: An answer. Assuming that there is no disc or nerve compression problem in the neck, and no clearcut bone injury on imaging, might wonder about nerve injuries. Many pts like you have brachial plexus stretch trauma, and you may well possess thoracic outlet syndrome. An EMG test of the plexus can reveal answers. Techniques are described in rutherford's textbook of vasc surgery.

See an orthopaedic spine surgeon for evaluation including x-rays with flexion/extension, cervical MRI & possible shoulder MRI & consider facet blocks & shoulder injection to diagnose source.
