Having just been diagnosed with spinal bifida occulta at 24, i was wondering if there are certain careers to avoid?

Not really: This is almost always asymptomatic. Most frequently incidentally diagnosed. I don't think you would need to worry about most careers. But that being said, not all spina bifida occulta looks the same an it may have some associated bony abnormalities that may restrict your activity (pars defects, spondylisthesis etc.) consult with your doctor.
