Possible...: The flu vaccine can sometimes prevent someone from getting infected with a particular strain of flu, or sometimes it lessens the symptoms so that you get over it more quickly (maybe what happened for you?). There are also many other viruses that cause flu like symptoms, so it is also possible you had something completely different. That being said, it is good to get your flu vaccine every year.
