Cyst: Might be a ganglion cyst. They tend to enlarge and give slight discomfort or be painless. Surgery is an option to remove it if symptomatic but requires a hand surgeon. See your primary care doctor to start with a good history and physical.

Ganglion?: Could be a ganglion based on location. The fact that it is skin colored is consitent with a ganglion. Removal is an easy operation, outpatient, with minimum physical rehab or down time post op.
