Father diagnosed with essential thrombocytosis. doc thinks i may have polycythemia vera. are these genetic since both are myloprolofitive disorders?

Both are : Myelproliferative disorders so you would label it one or the other. Pcrv can have a high platelet count. You would say et if it seems to be a platelet only phenomenon. Disorders are related and acquired, rather than genetic in the inherited sense.
