Yes, its common: Yes, its very common for young kids to have slight heart murmurs. Most often they are called stills murmurs or innocent murmurs and are heard simply becausea child is small and thin and the wooshing sound of the blood in the heart is easily heard. There could be something wrong and it should be evaulated by your doctor, but most heart murmurs in kids are benign.

Yes: A heart murmur is any extra sound that the blood makes flowing in the heart, including both abnormal sounds caused by heart problems (pathological murmurs) as well as a number of perfectly normal sounds (innocent murmurs). About 40% of children have innocent murmurs, and about 1% of children have heart problems (most of which are minor).

Murmur : Yes however it must be an innocent murmur. Your doctor should be able to differentiate whether the members innocent or something else. In his numbers are they coming in toddlers and they don't refer to presence of any heart problems and they go away with growth.
