Get a wrist splint: From a medical- supply store or sports store to immobilize it. Just make sure it's the right size, not too tight. If the pain is from a " pinched nerve, " (like carpal tunnel syndrome) it won't help quite as much as it would for pain from a sprain, but it'll help some. You'll have to ask your doctor about pain medications. Good luck!
