If not "fever fits,": It warrants a diagnostic evaluation by a pediatric neurologist to look for the etiology (cause) of the seizures & to discuss treatment options. It's also worth having your school district's child find team assess her development & determine if she'll benefit from early childhood special education. If she has developmental delays, genetic tests (cgh & dna probe for fragile x) will be worth doing.

A Neurologist specifically should evaluate your child. Is there any imbalance, development delay or head trauma? Discuss a video EEG with your physician. Watch for signs of respiratory difficulty.
