I'm 66, had a dexascan & there was an 8 pt drop in spine from +3.7 t-score on previous test 3 yrs ago. hip was good. how bad is this? i'm terrified!

Probably okay: Check in with your doctor but don't worry in the meantime. If you had a 0.8 point drop from +3.7, that should mean that you are still in normal range. Recommendations are to take 1500 mg of calcium and 400 iu of vitamin d, and to do daily weight-bearing exercise such as walking. Your doctor may recommend medication to prevent fractures if you have bone thinning (osteopenia) or osteoporosis.
