My wife wants to know at what age should be her first mamagram?

50 for sure: The american cancer society reccomends yearly screening beginning at age 40. The us preventative services task force says to start at age 50, if you are low risk, and have a mammogram every other year. If there is any family history of breast disease, begin at 40.

40 years old.: Unless there is a family history, the american cancer society, as well as other reputable cancer societies, recommend annual screening beginning at age 40 years.
