A member asked:

Is an xray an accurate image of widening blood vessels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Jeffrey Ng answered

Specializes in Family Medicine

Nope: Xrays usually show bones and fluid. Blood vessels are better seen with either an mra or ct scan with IV contrast.
