Birth control: Add tylenol, (acetaminophen) try the birth control pill, it's #1. There is a new medicine in the us called lystedalysteda, look that up. Take 3 ibuprofin every 8 hours 3 days prior to the period if opposed to the pill. Getting on it early can help the cascade resultingg in overall pain, take with food to avoid ulcers but get on the pill if you can. Good luck.

Pain: NSAID’s, SSRI’s, hormone meds, OTC meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise & acupuncture are excellent for PMS / period. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol & salt. Get GYN eval to R/O underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or Black Cohosh with dr ok. Sipping Chamomile can dissipate pain. Ginger helps w nausea.
