A member asked:

My second toe on my left foot is numb and hurts. this has been going on for a few weeks now. what would cause this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You could have : A localized nerve compression like a neuroma, or anterior tarsal tunnel syndrome (compression of deep peroneal nerve). If the second toe is the longest toe your shoes can be too small. There are systemic disease like diabetes that can cause numbness, and vitamin deficiencies as well.
