Tiny tuft of veins: Tiny venous capillary with thread veins leading away from a central dot. Best treated with a non-ablative, vascular lasers -visible or invisible light energy which is absorbed preferentially by the hemoglobin in the red blood cells traveling in the capillaries. Sa's are basically spot-welded shut by the laser energy (may take several lower energy treatments to fix without causing a scar).

Spider angiomas: Spider angiomas are abnormal collection of blood vessels of the skin with a red dot in the center and radiating smaller vessels that resemble a spider. They are commonly found on the face, neck, and hands and can occur at any age. Since they are benign, no treatment is necessary. Many resolve spontaneously although they can be treated, as dr. Zimmerman so nicely outlined.
