What is the healing process from a fracture from rupture of the periosteum to formation of a bony callus like?

Short course: Fx= torn perios=bleeding=hematoma. 4 +/- 7-10 days cells move in to clean up, a well as blood vessel. Not much healing 4 1-2 wks. Clot is formed, stem cells move in and set up house and form osteoblasts. As new bone is formed in the latis of the clot u c calcium/callus show up. Healing assumes the form of a lump around the bone ends& 6-8 wks solid. As it remodels 2 accept the stresses lump=+/-anat.
