I have a 4.4cm cyst on my right ovary. i have been in severe pain for 4 days. i have been in the e.r twice. been told to wait for it to rupture. do i have any other options? no pain meds help.

See your doctor: It seems as if waiting is safe but unacceptable. Birth control pills may help. See your doctor. Nobody knows more about you then him/her.

See gyn: It is likely a benign cyst which isnt an emergency in itself. Get in to see ur gyn if you have one and you may need DX laparoscopy. It should pass with time and oral contraceptives will help avoid these in the future. It may not rupture bu honestly, at that size and "simple" should not be causing that level of pain. It's solid ones, over 5 cm that can twist on themselves. Do u have hx of pain?
