Allergy to cat: The problem arises when a child does become allergic to your cat. This can be a severe problem and it is best to see an allegy specialist to examine your child and to see if there is a way to keep your cat in light of the allergy problem.

Cat allergy: Might have to get rid of the cat. Otherwise no cat in childs bedroom or on bed; watch sheets weekly in hot hot water, bathing the cat twice weekly keeps the allergen levels way down too.
