Eustachian tube: The feeling of pressure in the ears is frequently due to dysfunction of the eustachian tube--the tube that connects the middle ear to the back of the throat. This can occur during times of nasal congestion (from a cold or allergies) that block off the tube's opening. Fluid in the middle ear without infection can also cause this pressure. Treating the nose may help the ear. If not, see ENT doc.
