Nerve compression: There are some nerve compression syndromes that occur when raising ones arm. This could be due to a anatomical abnormality. Or this could be ligament instability after trauma. Have you injured your shoulder recently? See your primary who may refer you to an orthopedic surgeon or hand surgeon.
