Motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen): It sounds like you have a cold. With strep throat you wouldn't have a stuffy, runny nose. Drink lots of fluids, take tylenol (acetaminophen) and or motrin. Consider afrin nasal spray for 3 to 5 days (not longer). Consider sudafed in the mornings and Benadryl at night, and get plenty of rest.
