Stay hydrated: With any sort of diarrhea illness, the key is to stay hydrated. With type i dm, this creates the added problem of managing your sugar when you can't eat normally. Keep monitoring your sugar and taking your Insulin accordingly while you battle this bug. If need be, use juices to bump up your sugar if you get low.

Go see your doctor: You likely have ketoacidosis. You should go to the er. You are severely dehydrated and need IV fluids. Go to the er. Check your sugars every hour. If your meter reads "high", then its probably over 400 and you are in trouble. If you are on insulin, you may want to increase it. You need to see your doctor today.
