Not likely: With a normal intrauterine pregnancy, the HCG numbers should double every 2-3 days. These numbers are suspicious for an ectopic pregnancy, which can be very dangerous. Continue to see your doctor. What is your Progesterone level?

NO!: This type of vacillating in the HCG levels is not normal and indicates an abnormal pregnancy - very worrisome for an ectopic pregnancy. Early in pregnancy the HCG level is expected to approx. Double every 48 hours, but a minimum rise of 66% is considered within the normal increase. You need to see a doctor, b/c an ectopic pregnancy can be very dangerous.
