Yes in Moderation: Klonopin (clonazepam) is a low potency longer half-life sedative hypnotic that acts at the GABA receptor in the brain. Some suspect valerian has similar mechanism. If it is indeed the case then you run the risk of potential synergism whereby the effects of one increases the others potency. Thus, be judicious to assess your sensitivity. Luckily, benzodiazepines do not cause respiratory depression, per se.
