What are the steps to become a general practicioner?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: In the United States, there's no longer a specialty called general practice. It has been replaced by internal medicine and family medicine, which are both 3 year residencies. You need 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school and then the 3 year residency. Most medical schools have requirements on their websites for college courses you'll need for pre-requisites.
