A member asked:

If a mom has huntington's. could the unidentical twins both have huntington's? their symptoms are different but added up equal hd.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Genetic testing can look at both of the twins, and if symptoms are present, worthwhile doing the studies, but not so sure it is a good idea to perform if no problems evident. Since the disorder is autosomal dominant and completely penetrant, the potential of the disease is a potential in the children, but not always.
