Tall family: Your son sounds about right. A rule of thumb (for boys) is mom's height +5 averaged with dad's height. For girls, -5 from dad; i.e. Factor in 5" for male gender. That would predict adult height of 6'1" for your son. However, this formula is not precise, and most generations exceed their parents' height due to nutrition. For "boomers" it was good nutrition. Now it may be excess nutrition.
