A member asked:

How do i relieve the ear pain when i open my jaws?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Find the source: It sounds like a temporomandibular joint problem. Have your ear checked for infection, your teeth and bite alignment by a dentist, and proceed stepwise through the many suggestings that exist for this problem. Hard and chewy foods, or excessive chewing of gum wil aggrevate the joint. Pressing on the joint can relieve pain, until lifestyle changes cause it to calm down.
