Regular strength med: First, it would be wise to have your husband see a doctor. Second, regular strength Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) would be prudent for him to take. Children's med are an ok for very short term use, but the physician is your and his best bet.

Just because husband: Acts like a child doesn't mean children's tylenol (acetaminophen) is the correct treatment. Adult-dose aspirin, acetominophen, or Ibuprofen can all reduce fever. But much more important is determining the cause of the fever if he remains sick or gets worse, despite stubbornness. Sounds like you have bigger problems than his fever or lack of household medicine--get him to a doctor!
