A member asked:

Have diagnosis of barrett's esophagus and now have pain in left upper quadriant in ribs any ideas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unrelated.: Luq pain may be due to variety of issues, but if pain is in the abdomen it is commonly related to large intestine. If pain is reproduced when you push on your ribs it is musculoskeleta. Barret's esophagus is only a risk factor for cancer. As long as you are on a plan for surveillance, you should have no concerns of esophageal cancer.
