See doctor: Degenerative disc disease of the thoracic spine can cause rib pain, chest pain, and shortness of breath ( from pain) but it shouldn't cause palpitations. Palpitations, chest pain and sob can also be heart problems. Go see doctor right away. Make sure your heart is ok.
