Yes: Drinking 1-2 glasses of red wine a day can raise HDL (good cholesterol) up to 20% & also lowers LDL cholesterol somewhat. However, even more important than lowering cholesterol, red wine contains antioxidants like resveratrols, catechins & anthocyanins. But more than 1-2 drinks a day is hazardous.
