Sepsis?: People with sepsis are usually very sick: may have high fever/chills/rigors. Blood tests & cultures & urinalysis + culture & sensitivity can help determine cause. Sometimes spinal tap is needed. Docs usually start medications against most likely causes & adjust according to test/culture results.

Have it evaluated.: You may need blood cultures to determine if you have an abnormal amount of bacteria traveling through your body. Have yourself evaluated by your doctor.
