Sore throat: Likely infection but not necessarily strep throat. Gargle with warm salt water as many times a day to soothe the pain. You can buy a supplement with elderberry and echinicea which is shown to help with infection. Get plenty of rest, nutrition and hydration.

Strep test: Sorry but you need a strep test.Strep can happen , even withouttonsils.Try to find a free clinic somewhere.
