Had pneumonia a month ago, cleared but never stopped coughing, chest is now rattling when coughing. inhaler for cough doesn't help. what now?

Pneumonia: see your doctor. may need repeat chest X-rays and blood work up to make sure things have cleared up.

See MD: Most liklely you have " reactive airway " with some degree of bronchospasm - very common after infection is over. Just inflamed airways and irritable. There may be some inflammation - mucus and so producing ' rattle" . If no fever and in general feeling better - you may needs t use for short time " steroid inhaler " for calming down airway inflammation . But see your MD firs to examine you.
