Dr. should evaluate: Abdominal weak spots are at the rt & lft groin. With abdominal pressure or older age, one becomes more likely to get a hernia. A hernia bulge pointing down into the scrotum (men) or labia majora (women) is an "indirect hernia". A doctor needs to check for a twisted testicle (painful emergency!), infection, etc... A hernia may reverse if one relaxes his tummy, while pressing the hernia with a hand.
