My sister has missed her period, by about 4 days. but, she has done nothing to get pregnant. what could be going on?

Unsure: Everyone is allowed to be late or skip a period once in a while. If this is a reoccurring thing, she might be anovulatory (the ovaries are not working properly), or it could be simply her "new normal" of longer cycles. Watch to see what happens in the next 2 cycles (assuming you are certain she isn't pregnant-check a test, just in case), and call her gyn for an appt if 3 mos of irregularity.
