A member asked:

To control my bp, i take ben/hct in am and 5 mg amlodipine at pm but the ccb is causing me some gerd issues. what good bp can i take at pm instead.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Consider beta-blocke: The combination you describe typically works well but if it is clear that the amlodipine is aggravating gerd (assess by changing timing of pills/try reversing the times). Note gerd sx are typically worse at night so the issue might not be medication induced. Once you confirm though that media at fault could easily consider alternatives (like beta blockers) to accomplish BP control.
