Good food, not pills: A healthy whole grain, unprocessed fruits/vegetables will meet your needs without needing to buy any supplements. Vary the kinds of vegetables. If you go vegetarian, a multiple vitamen with B12 should be added. Most people living anywhere north of atlanta, would benefit from supplemental vit d, because the sun is too low in the sky to allow the body to make enough vit d during the winter months.

Vitamins: If you have a well balanced diet & get adequate sunshine, you may not need any vitamin supplements. If you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, then folate is recommended.
